Lion Fairy Marin Shakespeare's Youth Classes provide afterschool and weekend classes throughout the school year. Information on this page is for 2009-10. We will be updating the dates and classes for 2010-11 shortly. Please check back

For Homeschoolers
Acting Basics for Homeschoolers (Ages 6 - 9)

Thursdays 10:30 - noon

FALL: September 17 - November 19
WINTER: January 7 - March 18 (no class February 18)
SPRING: March 25 - June 3 (no class April 15)
LOCATION: Marin Ballet, 100 Elm St., San Rafael
TUITION: $200

This course is designed for homeschoolers and includes improvisation, projection, and performance. Students will use creative dramatics to practice concentration, ensemble, creativity and confidence. Each session culminates in a final performance.

Shakespeare in ACTion for Homeschoolers (Ages 10 - 15)

Wednesdays Noon - 2:00

FALL: September 16 - November 18
WINTER: January 6 - March 17 (no class February 17)
SPRING: March 24 - June 2 (no class April 14)
LOCATION: Marin Ballet, 100 Elm St., San Rafael
TUITION: $200

This class will take an in-depth look at Shakespeare by putting it up onstage and working toward a final performance! We will cover the basics of scansion, text analysis, and poetic devices, and use this knowledge in performing scenes and speeches from the plays.
