Properties Designer Joel Eis

Properties Designer Joel Eis says: “I have been a backstage designer and crew person for 35 years. I have rarely seen such a hardworking, dedicated group giving each other support, as this group, braving difficult weather conditions and a nearly Olympic rehearsal schedule to give their best to the show.  Their ‘esprit de corps’ is most surely going to energize the productions.  I have been deeply impressed with the casts of this years’ company in one most particular element; their ability to connect with the audience is exemplary. This should make for a real feeling of being part of the show.”  Joel is responsible for providing hand held properties, scenic dressing and furniture for the productions.  He refurbished and decorated the pianoforte used in AMADEUS, and built and painted the animal heads that adorn the WINTER’S TALE set.
