Teen Touring Company has completed the 2025 Tour of Macbeth.
Check back in the fall for information about auditions and booking for our 2026 production

March 1 – 16, 2025

Directed & Adapted by Education Director Elana Kepner

See Macbeth on stage at 514 Fourth Street, before these talented young actors hit the road for a tour of the region’s schools, senior communities, libraries, and other venues!

The Teen Touring Company is a unique opportunity for actors aged 13 – 19 to create and tour an abridged Shakespeare play to schools, senior centers and community organizations.  Students work with a professional director and dive into conservatory-style rehearsal and training in voice and text work, acting and movement. In 2025, Teen Touring Company presents Shakespeare’s supernatural tragedy, Macbeth, a gritty exploration of power, fate, magic and madness.

PRICING: $100/performance. This year, to support the continuation of the tour and Marin Shakespeare’s other educational programs, we ask that host locations pay a fee when their reservation is confirmed.  We will consider need-based discounts of up to 100% of the booking fee for locations that qualify.   Please note: your ability to pay will have no bearing on whether or not your location is selected.

PERFORMANCE RUN TIME: The production will run approximately 45 – 50 minutes, with a 10-minute Q&A with the actors after the production for a total run time of 60 minutes.

CONTENT ADVISORY: While we do our best to modify the language and fight scenes so younger and more sensitive viewers can enjoy the performance, the core of Shakespeare’s play remains intact. Each school community should use its discretion when determining which grades should view the play. Macbeth is a supernatural tragedy with several violent, on-stage murders, discussions of war, murder, and suicide, portrayals of trauma and mental illness, and ghosts and witches.  Prop weapons are used but there will be no stage blood. Overtly suggestive language has been changed or cut. Suggested for audiences in 5th Grade and up
