Karina Gutiérrez

DIRECTOR

Karina has a Ph.D. in Theatre and Performance Studies from Stanford University, with B.A.’s in Theatre and Literatures in Spanish from the University of California, San Diego. She has an extensive theatrical directing resume. She was awarded the Carl Webber prize for integration of Creative Practice and Scholarly Research from Stanford. She is a co-founder of BALTAN, the Bay Area Latino Theatre Alliance Network.

Deanalís Arocho Resto*

Deanalís is a proud queer Boricua, born on/raised by Susquehannock land in northeastern Turtle Island. Christian is thrilled to be joining Marin Shakespeare for his first time. Other roles in the Bay Area include Gomez Addams in The Addams Family& Horton the Elephant in Seussical at Berkeley Playhouse, Fedya Dolokhov in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 at Shotgun Players, and Uncle Max in The Sound of Music at Cinnabar Theatre. Hugo Carbajal*

Hugo is happy to be performing for Marin Shakes for the first time.  Hugo is a seasoned theatre artist with over two decades of experience as an actor, director, and educator. He has performed with a wide range of acclaimed companies including Cal Shakes, San Francisco Mime Troupe, Hartford Stage, Huntington Theatre, Su Teatro, Alley Theatre, Shotgun Players, Cuttingball, TeatroVision, Playground LA, and Bay Area Children’s Theatre, among others. His television credits include appearances on hit shows such as SWAT, Bosch, Good Girls, and Brooklyn Nine Nine.

Edie Flores

Musician

Edie is a Bay Area based performer, director, musician, and teaching artist. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Music Education. Recent performance credits include The Rocky Horror Show (Brad) American Idiot (Johnny), Sueños: Our American Musical (Ali), Once On This Island (Daniel), In The Heights (Usnavi), Spring Awakening (Melchior & Voice of Moritz/Guitar), Heathers (JD), HAIR (Claude), & The Addams Family (Lucas). Directing credits include Spring Awakening, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, Hadestown (Teen Edition), Little Shop of Horrors, & Alice by Heart. Carolina is a multidisciplinary performer, teaching artist, and movement director dedicated to telling stories that empower through poetry and dance. A Bay Area native who was a longtime company member and Resident Teaching Artist at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where she worked for 12 seasons. Currently a faculty member at Studio A.C.T.-SF, The Walden Center & School, and at Chabot College. Most recently she performed in The Eyes & the Impossible and Citizen at Word for Word; Julius Caesar, A.C.T. OUT Tour; Falstaff & The Merry Wives of Windsor at SPARC.

Megan is thrilled to make her Marin Shakes debut! Recent credits include Helena Landless in The Mystery of Edwin Drood at Alhambra Theatre; Sofia in Two Sisters and a Piano with her self-produced company, Teatro de Las Tias; and Sally Bowles in Cabaret (BACC Award winner) at Theatre Rhinoceros. Soledad holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and currently resides in New York City. She dedicates her theater career to her Cuban family, who sacrificed everything to immigrate to this country. Her work is rooted in honoring their journey and uplifting immigrant stories through her craft.

Carlos is a multidisciplinary theater maker whose practice focuses on new plays. Amy Christine Jimenez

Amy is thrilled to be joining Marin Shakespeare Company for this Production of La Comedia of Errors. Previous stage management work includes She Kills Monsters (UC Berkeley TDPS) and Two Gentlemen of Verona (SF Shakes). She is currently a graduating senior at UC Berkeley Majoring in Theater Dance and Performance studies. Before moving to the Bay Area, Amy attended Moorpark Community College where she worked on many shows as Stage and Production Manager, as well as working in the Los Angeles area. 

Dave Maier

Fight Director

Dave is an associate artist and resident fight director with Marin Shakespeare Company.  Recent acting credits include Dave/The Romanian/Gary in Best Available (Shotgun Players) and Friar Laurence in Romeo/Juliet (Marin Shakespeare Company).  He is an award-winning fight director whose work has been seen throughout the bay area and beyond.  He is also the resident fight director at San Francisco Opera and Oakland Theatre Project.  Dave is currently teaching stage combat courses at San Francisco Conservatory of Music, University of California Santa Cruz, Studio ACT, Berkeley Rep School of Theatre, and Dueling Arts International.

Noah Rojas-Domke

Lighting Designer

Noah is thrilled to be designing with MSC for the first time. Upcoming projects include Into the Woods with Contra Costa Civic Theatre. Previous credits include Les Misérables,The Addams Family, Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief, Footloose, Head Over Heels and morewith Berkeley Playhouse. Additional collaborations include Carrie with American Conservatory Theater, Outside Mullingar with University of California, Berkeley, and Fuddy Meers with The Bentley Upper School. He developed his approach to lighting through mentorship with Ray Oppenheimer from University of California Berkeley after being self taught. He/Him.

Madison Remigio

Production Stage Manager

Madison is a Stage Manager and Lighting Designer working in The Bay Area and New York.  Madison has earned BFAs in Stage Management as well as in Lighting Design from Marymount Manhattan College. She is delighted to work with Marin Shakespeare on this show!  Madison has previously worked with Marin Shakespeare as the Stage Manager on Twelfth Night with the Teen Touring Company. Other companies Madison works with includes Lucky Penny Productions, The Left-Hand Theatre Co., Shakespeare Napa Valley, Marymount Manhattan, and CityDance NY.

Alice has been a freelance costume designer, assistant costume designer, costume mentor, and theatrical dresser throughout the SF Bay Area for over a decade. Recent credits include Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (SF Playhouse), Art (Shotgun Players), The 39 Steps (SF Playhouse), and Bees and Honey (Marin Theatre).
