DIRECTOR
Karina Gutiérrez
Karina has a Ph.D. in Theatre and Performance Studies from Stanford University, with B.A.’s in Theatre and Literatures in Spanish from the University of California, San Diego. She has an extensive theatrical directing resume. She was awarded the Carl Webber prize for integration of Creative Practice and Scholarly Research from Stanford. She is a co-founder of BALTAN, the Bay Area Latino Theatre Alliance Network.

Deanalís (they/he/she/elle/él/ella) is a proud queer Boricua, born on/raised by Susquehannock land in northeastern Turtle Island. Deanalís está encantade por tener la oportunidad de trabajar con otros artistas Latinos increíbles y mejorar su español. This is his first show with Marin Shakespeare Company! Christian (he/him) is thrilled to be joining Marin Shakespeare for his first time. Other roles in the Bay Area include Gomez Addams in The Addams Family & Horton the Elephant in Seussical at Berkeley Playhouse, Fedya Dolokhov in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 at Shotgun Players, and Uncle Max in The Sound of Music at Cinnabar Theatre. He would like to thank his family, friends, and loved ones for their continued support.

Hugo is happy to be performing for Marin Shakes for the first time. Hugo is a seasoned theatre artist with over two decades of experience as an actor, director, and educator. He has performed with a wide range of acclaimed companies including Cal Shakes, San Francisco Mime Troupe, Hartford Stage, Huntington Theatre, Su Teatro, Alley Theatre, Shotgun Players, Cuttingball, TeatroVision, Playground LA, and Bay Area Children’s Theatre, among others. His television credits include appearances on hit shows such as SWAT, Bosch, Good Girls, and Brooklyn Nine Nine.

Carolina is a multidisciplinary performer, teaching artist, and movement director dedicated to telling stories that empower through poetry and dance. A Bay Area native who was a longtime company member and Resident Teaching Artist at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, where she worked for 12 seasons. Currently a faculty member at Studio A.C.T.-SF, The Walden Center & School, and at Chabot College. Most recently she performed in The Eyes & the Impossible and Citizen at Word for Word; Julius Caesar, A.C.T. OUT Tour; Falstaff & The Merry Wives of Windsor at SPARC.

Briana is thrilled to make her debut with Marin Shakespeare Company! Favorite Regional credits – American Players Theatre: Much Ado About Nothing, King Lear, Wolf at the Door. Alley Theatre: American Mariachi, World Premiere One-Woman Show The Night Shift Before Christmas, 72 Miles To Go, A Christmas Carol. Arizona Theatre Company: Private Lives. Briana is passionate about new work and has been seen in numerous play festivals, including La Jolla’s Latinx New Play Festival. Megan is thrilled to make her Marin Shakes debut! Recent credits include Helena Landless in The Mystery of Edwin Drood at Alhambra Theatre; Sofia in Two Sisters and a Piano with her self-produced company, Teatro de Las Tias; and Sally Bowles in Cabaret (BACC Award winner) at Theatre Rhinoceros. Soledad holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and currently resides in New York City. She dedicates her theater career to her Cuban family, who sacrificed everything to immigrate to this country. Her work is rooted in honoring their journey and uplifting immigrant stories through her craft.

Jackson Currier
Technical Director
Jackson (he/him) has acted, designed, taught, and served as Master Carpenter and Tech Director for Marin Shakespeare Company. He also provides technical leadership at Mt. Tam School. As an actor, Jackson trained at Shakespeare & Company and was nominated for a Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle Award for Mercutio in “Romeo and Juliet.” Jackson is the proud father of Lenox and Kili.
Amy Christine Jimenez
Assistant Stage Manager
Amy is thrilled to be joining Marin Shakespeare Company for this Production of La Comedia of Errors. Previous stage management work includes She Kills Monsters (UC Berkeley TDPS) and Two Gentlemen of Verona (SF Shakes). She is currently a graduating senior at UC Berkeley Majoring in Theater Dance and Performance studies. Before moving to the Bay Area, Amy attended Moorpark Community College where she worked on many shows as Stage and Production Manager, as well as working in the Los Angeles area.
Leontyne Mbele-Mbong
Production Manager
Leontyne is a long-time Bay Area actress. Recent performances include Cyrano and Hurricane Diane at the Aurora Theatre, Lear at CalShakes (BATCC award for Goneril). She has also performed around the Bay Area at A.C.T., African-American Shakespeare Company (TBA award for Medea), Berkeley Rep, Central Works, TheatreFirst, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, and Shotgun Players, as well as regionally at the Guthrie in Minneapolis, MN and TheatreSquared in Fayetteville, AK. Leontyne is a proud founding member of the Actors’ Reading Collective with whom she serves as resident production coordinator. She has also worked around the theater arena as production manager and stage manager, usher, box office treasurer, President and Secretary-Treasurer of the FOH Union Local B18, and Board Member. Leontyne holds a BA in Dramatic Arts from Macalester College.
Dave Meier
Fight Director
Dave is an award-winning fight director who has choreographed violence for several productions at Marin Shakes including Romeo/Juliet, The Comedy of Errors, The Untime, Twelfth Night, and Hamlet. He is the resident fight director at Marin Shakes, San Francisco Opera, and Oakland Theatre Project. His work has been seen throughout the bay area and recent projects include Zorro (Opera San Jose), Fat Ham (SF Playhouse), Private Lives (ACT), and The Handmaid’s Tale (San Francisco Opera). Also, an award nominated actor, Dave was last seen in the Shotgun Players production of Best Available. He is grateful for the unwavering support of Danielle, Manya and Joshua.
Noah Rojas-Domke
Lighting Designer
Noah (he/him) is thrilled to be designing with MSC for the first time. Upcoming projects include Into the Woods with Contra Costa Civic Theatre. Previous credits include Les Misérables,The Addams Family, Percy Jackson: The Lightning Thief, Footloose, Head Over Heels and morewith Berkeley Playhouse. Additional collaborations include Carrie with American Conservatory Theater, Outside Mullingar with University of California, Berkeley, and Fuddy Meers with The Bentley Upper School. He developed his approach to lighting through mentorship with Ray Oppenheimer from University of California Berkeley after being self taught.

Alice (she/her) has been a freelance costume designer, assistant costume designer, costume mentor, and theatrical dresser throughout the SF Bay Area for over a decade.
