OPEN CIRCLE is the next evolution of Marin Shakespeare Company’s OPEN ACCESS program—our commitment to removing barriers and widening the circle of who gets to make theatre, who gets to lead it, and whose stories take space.
Each year since 2025, OPEN CIRCLE invites one emerging theatre company to step fully into the spotlight. We offer our stage, our support, and our belief that great art grows when resources are shared.

2026 – Let The Wind Sweep Through: A Conference of Birds produced by Crescent Moon Theater Productions. A transformational ritual theatre experience, based on the Sufi story by Attar of Nishapur. Written and directed by Melusina Gomez; produced and Movement Direction by Kaya Mey.
2025 – The Epic of Gilgamesh produced by Stray Dog Theater Company. A new verse adaptation of the planet’s oldest written story.
