The Winter Wonderettes

The artistic team that brought audiences Marin Shakespeare Company’s 2019 hit Spamalot is reuniting to share the holiday treat The Winter Wonderettes at MSC’s new indoor theatre in downtown San Rafael.

Four female friends at the annual Harper’s Hardware Holiday Party gather to celebrate the season. When Santa turns up missing, the girls use their creative ingenuity to save the day! Featuring great 1960’s versions of holiday classics including “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town”, “Jingle Bell Rock”, “Run, Santa, Run”, and “Winter Wonderland”. With Direction by Robert Currier, Music Direction by Paul Smith, and Choreography by Rick Wallace, The Winter Wonderettes is an energetic and glittering holiday delight for all ages.

Gillian Eichenberger is lucky to work as an actor, director, musician, and performance coach. She grew up in Marin, and has performed with companies including Marin Theater Company, Shotgun Players, The Mountain Play, and Ross Valley Players. Favorite roles include Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Sheila in Hair, Juliet in Romeo & Juliet, and Miss Honey in Matilda: a role she played alongside her students. She teaches voice privately, and pays homage to Taylor Swift with her tribute band “Swifty.” Gillianeichenberger.org

HarriettePearl Fugitt is so very happy to be your Suzy Snowflake! Starting out as a trained dancer, she made her transition into acting several years ago and hasn’t looked back since! Some of her favorite past credits include; Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family (Novato Theater Company) SFBATCC Nominated, Miss Shields in A Christmas Story (Sonoma Arts Live) SFBATCC Nominated, Columbia in The Rocky Horror Show (Marin Musical Theatre Copmpany) (2019,2022), Stepsister Charlotte in Cinderella (STC), Minnie Fay in Hello, Dolly! (SAL), and Young Norma Desmond/Mary in Sunset Boulevard (SAL). 加油

Heather Mae Steffen is delighted to be on the Marin Shakes stage for the first time! She was last seen as Betty in No, No Nanette (SBMT), Velma in Speakeasy (Boxcar), Patsy Cline in Always, Patsy Cline (SJMT), Ensemble/Lina Lamont US in Singing in the Rain (SBMT), Bea in Something Rotten (WVLO), Cheryl in Evil Dead the Musical: The National HD Tour (Roshi Ent.), and Vanessa in In The Heights (Western Stage). When she’s not singing, she loves working out and playing with her dog. Special thank you to her dad for his endless love and support. 

Anna Vorperian is very excited to be performing in this wonderful holiday show alongside this amazing cast! She has been performing throughout the North Bay since the age of seven. Her very first show was Guys and Dolls with Marilyn Izdebski Productions and she’s been hooked ever since! When not on stage herself, she can be found directing, teaching and mentoring young performers throughout the North Bay. She is currently the resident Associate Director at Backyard Kids’ Theater and has worked with many other companies such as North Bay Theatrics, Stapleton School of the Performing Arts, The YES Foundation and Montessori de Terra Linda.  One of her favorite parts of theater is the makeup. She loves creating character specific makeup looks and has worked as a makeup designer on many different shows including: Kinky Boots, Rocky Horror, and The Wizard of Oz. Her favorite roles include: Minnie Fay in Hello Dolly, Magenta in The Rocky Horror Show, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes, and Marian Paroo in The Music Man. Theater has always been a place of great happiness for Anna and has always inspired her to challenge herself in ways she never knew possible and she hopes to be able to inspire the same in the younger generations. She would like to thank her many mentors, her family, and her cat Mochi, for their love and support over the years.
